Let's put Max Raabe & Palast Orchester into perspective: founded decades ago, they havebeen on the rise ever since, each show better than the previous, culminating in their most successful season in 2023/24. How fitting, that one of their present hits is "Ein Tag wie Gold"- "A Day Like Gold" - written by Max Raabe and Annette Humpe for the internationally acclaimed TV-series Babylon Berlin.
Max Raabe & Palast Orchester weave together German songs of the 20s and 30s with their international equivalents to create a concert programme that entertains audiences worldwide. Their North America tour in spring 2024 will include the Symphony Halls of Chicago and. Boston and a further performance at New York ́s Carnegie Hall. Outside of German speaking countries their biggest fan base is in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Why this success that seems to transcend cultures? Max Raabe explains: because songs like "Mir ist so nach dir", "Unter den Pinien von Argentinien" or "Mein Gorilla hat ne Villa im Zoo" and - more internationally - "Top hat”, "Cheek to Cheek" or "La Mer" have stupendous arrangements, fabulous lyrics and an amazing entertainment quality.
In autumn 2024 Max Raabe & Palast Orchester will be presenting their new international concert program ‘September Song’ in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
